BiOLiX is a comprehensive series of storage systems, each tailored to the specific needs of sample handling processes, specialised sample types, and environmental control.
The BiOLiX systems can store both a large variety as well as mixtures of labware types within the same system. Cryovials, microtubes and boxes can all be handled with proprietary unique picking technology. More than 1,000 labware configurations are available to address particular storage needs.

The BiOLiX biobanking product series comprises four high performance product lines designed to meet the needs of the various biobanking applications. LiCONiC systems provide the best in the market sample capacity for any given space.

STT units offer fully automated storage in a defined small footprint with low height requirements. STC, SAB and STV units can fit into any given space.

BiOLiX STT Line
The most compact of LiCONiC’s fully automated sample storage systems—will fit in virtually any lab. The -20 °C configurations are factory assembled offering short delivery times and simple installation. They are ideal for many sample types and applications, including integrated workcells.

This series suits sample collections from 50,000 to 150,000 (sample size). The STT Line can be configured for various temperatures, including -80 °C.

BiOLiX STC Line
Perfect for the wide range of storage applications, handling approx. 100,000 samples up to millions, with temperatures ranging from -80 °C to ambient. The STC Line offers high density storage and can be configured to suit room dimensions.

Applications include: Storing blood, DNA, RNA, proteins, tissues and more.

BiOLiX SAB Line
The best solution for long term storage of large sample collections where safety and efficiency are key, and there is high tube and rack variability. Also, suitable for non-automation friendly labware such as cryo boxes.

The SAB units can be configured for temperatures from +25 °C down to -130 °C with the flexibility of having multiple temperature storage spaces within one unit.

BiOLiX FAB Line
A fully automated version of the SAB line with individual sample retrieval. This range accommodates a very specific operational requirements of collections with diverse labware and storage temperature requirements, and offers sample safety, high density storage and energy efficiency.

BiOLiX STV Line
A fully automated cryogenic vapour phase LN2 (≤-185 °C) storage system for samples that require cryopreservation. The STV Line offers data precision, personal safety, and sample integrity.
This high-density storage system is available in a wide variety of configurations and is scalable from 50,000 to >20,000,000 samples. This range provides the benefits of automation coupled with high density storage and energy efficiency.
